PHEW - we made it.

It has been quite a week at the Jones'. Sometimes I like to look at my week and see what we have done. Although there are busier households than ours, I often wonder how I am going to keep up!I'll spare you all the details, like all the stores I drug 2 kids to to get those coupons deals, but here are the highlights.

Monday- Coley turned 4! We had some friends over for cake and ice cream and lots of presents! As much as I hate to admit it, I am thankful that Cole, as sweet and cute as he is, is moving on from 3.

Kyle had his first baseball game - no pictures. Besides the holes in the outfield and the goat heads in the infield, the Blue Dragons had their 1st victory.

Tuesday - The funnest day of the week for me - I get to go to Real Deals (home decor store) and play with all the decor. Best part, I get paid to do it! Jake left town - party with me and the kids. Oh heaven help me!

Wednesday- 5:15 call from the coach just making sure Kyle was going to be a the game. GAME, what game, it wasn't until Thursday night. Rain drenched fields, wind blowing, freezing cold temperatures, we played ball. No pictures of course- too dang cold to take your hands out of the blanket. He did play 1st base the whole game and racked up the outs!

Thursday - Left the house at 9 am didn't pull back into the house until 3:30 pm. Is this what a stay at home mom does - NOT stay home!

Friday - Swim lessons gone bad. Kennedy fell back into the pool as we were leaving and hit her chin on the side of the pool and ended up with 3 stitches. She was such a champ - I think I cried more than she did! Just an ironic sidenote - When Kate was 2 she fell into the same pool, with the same instructor, busted her chin open in the same spot!

Saturday - The yard- oh man! How do so many weeds grow so quickly in such cold weather? I don't know a plant that can grow or survive the way a weed does, why is that? Maybe I should consider putting dandelion's on my menu! We pulled weeds for "hours" it seemed like to the kids. Granted, there were a lot of weeds. But the funnest and most anticipated part of our weekend was definitely planting some of our garden. We only planted pees and radishes right now, few more weeks and we will be able to do the rest. This year we are going to try some watermelons, pumpkins, squash, cucumbers, and cilantro. Along with our usual tomatoes and carrots. We are going to skip corn, cauliflower and broccoli

That I can do!

I don't consider myself great at anything.
Just good at a lot of things......
EXCEPT
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Definitely a fav at my house
My cookies seem to have drawn quite a following and are preferred by many
except my husband that is. GASP! as if ... I know, right?

There are couple secrets to this
REAL butter - no salt - an extra 1/2 cup flour - pampered chef small scoop
It is the Toll House recipe tweaked just a bit
3/4 cup brown sugar - the darker the better
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1tsp vanilla
1 cup butter -melted
cream together and add
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
add chocolate chips
scoop with small scooper and bake at 375
don't ask me how long - until they are golden brown- don't burn them

Mmmmmmmm --perfect
So while I fall short on many things
Chocolate Chip Cookies.......
THAT I CAN DO

I do not have the ability to laugh.....

Not today. My last post is null and void at this point. I am literally tearing up as I type. I am ready to commit hairy carey on Kennedy. She plays with everything and anything that she is not suppose to. This is my day with JUST her - mind you it is spring break so ALL 4 of the kids are home.

6:00 Wake up - hit snooze

6:15 Leave for grocery store

7:30 Go to gym

8:45 Arrive home to a sleeping house - aaaaahhhhhh!

8:46 Everybody wakes up

9:50 Wake up Kennedy - no time for breakfast

10:00 Have to leave for swimming - racing around like a mad woman

10:08 Leave for swimming - get to swimming and Cole gave her a C U P C A K E for breakfast that she ate in Jake's newly vacuumed BMW

10:20 Swimming lesson for Cole and Kennedy

11:00 Get home

11:45 Come down stairs after a shower and she has my lipstick on her eyes, lips and checks as she sits and applies it on my cloth couch

12:00 Start lunch - go to the bathroom come back and she is on top of the counter and has poured an entire pitcher of Koolaid in the 4 bowls and 4 cups that I have put out, yet not a lot of Koolaid actually made it into the bowls or cups - how does one accomplish that in 1.5 minutes? She had sweats on so I took them off.

12:30 Upstairs in the play room, takes off her diaper and pees on the floor

1:00 Climbs on top of the bathroom counter and proceeds to pump gel and spray aerosol hairspray in her hair and all over the bathroom mirror

1:15 Dad washes her up and leaves her in the bathroom where she than turns on the faucet and plays in the water with most of the water not going in the sink

2:00 Gave her a bath

2:15 Put her in bed for a nap (we moved rooms - she is still in her crib just in another room).

4:00 There is a dresser at the end of her bed. While she napped - SILENTLY- she reached over, pulled all of the clothes out of the top drawer, dumped all the diapers out of the bin that was on top of the dresser and threw out her blanket, pillow, and stuffed animal. When she woke up , I walked in and found her cuddled up with a pair of stretch pants.

5:45 Putting dinner on the table, opens a cabinet that has a lock on it, shimmies out the crayons and coloring book. Sits on the floor opens the crayons, breaks about 10 of them and then dumps them all out.

6:11 -Hear Kate yell "NO Kennedy - you don't write on your clothes"
6:12 - MOM IS DONE
